The Lodge at
Lapa Rios offers luxury in the beauty of nature.
Guests staying here enjoy a host of activities from taking guided hikes to swimming, kayaking and
birdwatching.
The ecolodge was built to protect a large area of rainforest from being destroyed by offering local people realistic
economic alternatives to farming, hunting, logging, and ranching. The ecolodge was also responsible for helping
to start up a local school for the children of the area.
This area of Costa Rica is very wild and untouched. You can see more wildlife here than other areas simply because
the contiguous habitat is larger. Staying at this lodge (or the tent lodge at
Corcovado) is good way to help protect
the area from development and human expansion. |
